I know that’s a big claim, to be the best ever chocolate brownie recipe. But this really is the best brownie I’ve tried. Ever. And what’s more it’s dairy free, egg free and nut free. I haven’t found anyone who doesn’t think this chocolate brownie is amazing, so I challenge you to try it and let me know what you think. It may be the best tasting brownie, but it certainly isn’t the healthiest. It’s probably best to make this when you know you won’t be the only one eating it. Or, maybe that’s only a problem that I face!
The basic recipe for this best ever chocolate brownie came from a book called Raw by Solla Eiriksdottir. The recipes aren’t all raw and this brownie recipe is baked like a traditional brownie. I’ve changed the recipe a little to make it vegan and nut free.
The secret ingredient in this chocolate brownie are black beans. They ensure the brownie is thick and gooey. And the edition of chunks of chocolate give the soft crunch that every brownie needs. I came across the Raw book when I was doing the Vegan Chef and Lifestyle Training Course recently. We made this brownie recipe then as part of our dietary requirements module, and then again for a catering gig and again for our graduation. So, I have seen a lot of people taste this brownie and a lot of people say how it really is the best ever brownie.
And then of course I’ve made it at home several times. So really you have been warned. It is seriously good and seriously moorish.Print
